Dojo Conduct
- Students should not use any equipment unless they ask the instructor first.
- Parents of students who are minors are too stay with their child as long as they are
in the beginner’s class. - Parents who have children in the intermediate or advance class and want to drop
them off should do so at the dojo or the hallway next too the dojo and pick them
up at the same place. We don’t want children wandering around the Rec. Center
or parking lot unsupervised. - No food in the workout area. Water is fine.
- Please do not touch the mirrors.
- No shoes while working out unless you have a medical reason to wear them.
- Students should not wear any jewelry (watches, earrings, rings ) while working
out It is a safety hazard for the student and fellow students. - No chewing gum choking hazard.
- Parents are always welcome to watch class. We ask that you do not engage in
long conversations or make phone calls while class is in session. If the need arises
please step out into the hallway. - Students should bow(rei) when entering the dojo or leaving the dojo. This shows
respect for the workout area. - Students should bow (rei) to any black belt that is on the dojo floor when entering
or leaving the dojo floor. - Karate techniques are never to used on anyone unless you are in the dojo or in a
life treating situation. - Never wear your gi anywhere else but in the dojo, at a karate seminar, or working
out at home.
